Each
channel features two mic inputs, dynamics, a noise floor meter,
its own microprocessor and the world acclaimed Oram 'Hi-Def' EQ.
You turn a knob push a button or move a fader and the TORtm system
will record all these operations in real time, and when we say ALL
operations, we are talking about every moving part.Mixes are not
only stored in minutes, seconds,& frames, but also in day, month
and year reference.
|
This
enables every element of your session to be exactly pinpointed, right
down to the microphone or effect used on any channel or aux.
All motorised faders have a true analogue signal path, not VCA's. There
are even automated joysticks for 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound mixing. The
dream machine takes you on a gentle learning curve. The sound is
true analogue and it works and feels like a normal analogue console.
There are no menu's to go through, no screens to confuse you. Just great
sound and the reassuring knowledge that with 'Flashback'tm
instant flash memory backup, you will be able to fully recall absolutely
everything at anytime, even if the power goes off!
The perfection of ORAM analogue in combination with a distributed
digital control system allows you freedom to work your own way.

Do
you recall.....?
The word 'recall' has been used in the past as a feature of other systems,
but now John Oram presents 'Total
Operational Recall' - TOR - which means exactly what
it says. All operations on the Series 48 can be reset instantly and
in real-time, by utilising individual microprocessors on every channel.
Yes, you turn a knob, push a button or move a fader and the TOR
system will recall those operations.... and when we say ALL operational
controls, we mean every moving part on the console.
Not only but also.....
Mixes are not only stored in minutes, seconds, and frames, but also
in day, month and year reference. This enables sessions to be exactly
pinpointed and recalled, right down to the microphone or effect used
on any channel or aux.
The outer limits.....
'Global Clock System' enables studios on entirely separate continents
to share a synchronised time reference for satellite and ISDN audio
links.
Measuring up.....
Fast response displays show programme levels as well as digital peaks
for digital recorders and incorporates the unique ORAM noise floor reader.
In your dreams.....
This dream machine doesn't require you to embark on any kind of 'learning
curve'. The sound is true analogue and it works and feels like a normal
analogue console - no menus to go through, no screens to confuse you
- just great sound and the reassuring knowledge that you will be able
to fully recall absolutely everything at any time, even if the power
goes off !
Ultimately.....
The perfection of the ORAM analogue sound in combination with a distributed
digital control system allows you freedom to work in your own way.
